The CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015 will be the 13th edition of the continental soccer tournament for national teams organized by CONCACAF. The tournament will be played in the United States of America and Canada 7 to 26 July 2015. Two matches will be played in Canada, which will host the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the first time.
The team winning the tournament will face the United
States, winners of the Gold Cup in 2013, to describe the team that will
participate in the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2017.
The top four teams in the tournament, excluding the
United States, Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica, will qualify to the playoffs for
the allocation of two seats for the Copa América Centenario. If the winner is
not one of the four teams already qualified, it is admitted directly to the
Copa América Centenario.
The tournament consists of two stages: the group stage
and knockout stage.
By drawing lots they were formed the three Groups,
consisting of four teams each. Each team plays every other in lots of one-way
for a total of three days.The Teams finishing in the top two in each group plus
the two best third-placed teams will qualify for the knockout stages of the
CONCACAF Gold Cup Football 2015.
The knockout stage consists of a board of three rounds
(quarterfinals, semifinals and final). If a match ties at the end of 90
minutes,extra thirty minutes will be given and then the free throws.
