Copa America 2015 will be the XLIV edition of this tournament, the main football competition between national teams of South America and the oldest in the world still in effect. Organized by CONMEBOL, South American football administrator and affiliate soccer body FIFA.The tournament will be held for the seventh time in Chile from 11 June to 4 July 2015.
Moreover, this Football tournament will feature six
Argentine coaches representing half of the participating teams. Argentine
Gerardo Martino for Argentina, Jorge Sampaoli Chile, José Pékerman by Colombia,
Gustavo Quinteros (nationalized Bolivia) by Ecuador, Ramon Angel Diaz Paraguay
and Ricardo Gareca by Peru, are the coaches of the same nationality in this
edition the copa America Football.
Defending tournament champion Uruguay, who was crowned in
the previous edition of the Copa America Football after beating its counterpart
in Paraguay by 3: 0 in the final, organized in 2011 by Argentina. The winner of
this tournament will participate representing CONMEBOL FIFA Confederations Cup
Football 2017, taking place in Russia.
The tournament takes place divided into 4 stages: Group
stage, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final.In the group stage of the 12
participating teams are divided into 3 groups of 4 teams each played with a
round-robin tournament where each team plays one game with all their group
opponents. Teams are classified into groups according the points scored in
every game.
